How long does it take to graduate from the school?

We offer programs that last anywhere from a week to a few months, or longer depending on the schedule you choose. We offer flexible schedules to allow you to balance your life and your education. Our Esthetics program can be completed in 18 weeks, our Nail Technology program in 8 weeks, and our Waxing program in 3 weeks, if you choose the full-time schedule.

What do I need to provide to enroll at Christine Valmy?

  • Valid photo ID
  • High school diploma, GED, college degree, or official transcript*
  • Completed enrollment package, including the enrollment agreement
  • Social Security card or passport
  • $100 registration fee
  • 2023 and 2024 tax returns (for financial aid applicants only)

Note: If you have a foreign high school diploma or college transcript, you must provide a translation and equivalency from an accredited agency.

What do I need to provide to enroll at Christine Valmy?

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) (Homeschool diplomas are not accepted.)
  • Social Security card or ITIN documentation
  • Students must be 17 years of age or older by the start of the program and provide proof of birth (acceptable: valid driver’s license, passport, birth certificate, citizenship documentation, immigration certification, employment authorization card, or alien registration card).
  • Foreign-born and/or educated students must obtain an English translation of their birth certificate and transcript, plus an equivalency/evaluation of their high school diploma from an agency approved by the NJ State Board of Cosmetology.
  • Seven 2” x 2” passport photos
  • Personal interview at the school
  • Completed registration for the State of New Jersey

Note: As required by the NJ Board of Cosmetology & Hairstyling, a school assessment of English language comprehension may be required prior to acceptance and enrollment in English-language courses. See your Admissions Officer for details. (NJAC 13:28–6.9)
