Licensed Programs

Why is it important for the school to be licensed by New York State?

Being a licensed school is important as it means that we are approved by New York State to teach New York State licensed programs that will prepare students for the New York State Board Exam. When you pass the New York State Board Exam, you will receive a license that will allow you to work in the state of New York.

Which offered programs are licensed by New York State?

Christine Valmy International School offers the following programs, licensed by the State of New York: Esthetics, Nail Specialty, and Waxing

How can I get my esthetics, nail or waxing license?

By registering for a licensed program for esthetics, nail specialty or waxing, you will receive the training to prepare you for the board exam. Once completing the program, you will be given instructions on how to apply for your license.

What is a credit transfer?

A credit transfer allows a student to transfer credits from prior programs that are covered in the curriculum of the program you are applying for. A transcript will be required and evaluated by our enrollment officers and the school Director. For more information, please contact us.

Do you accept credit from other institutions?

It is the policy of Christine Valmy International School to grant credit for hours spent studying the same field at another approved school. A student looking to transfer credits must supply a transcript from their previous school. No more than 75% of a program may be transferred. For more information, please contact us.
